Arrive to Kenya by Friday September 22, 2023. The expedition activities continue through Sunday October 22, 2023; then participants can return home on Monday October 23, 2023 or remain for tours that require additional fees.
Program Fee: $1,950 (covers all meals, accommodation, transportation, project costs, and group cultural/ sightseeing expenses; airfare not included). A $250 non-refundable deposit must be paid two months prior to trip departure. The full payment (the remaining $1,700) is due one month prior to departure.

Participants must arrive at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (IATA: NBO) and then fly into Kisumu International Airport (IATA: KIS).
Participants will stay in a hostel located in Vihiga. The hostel has indoor plumbing, running water, and electricity.

Volunteers are required to purchase their own travel insurance.
Vihiga is a beautiful area located in western Kenya. Participants will visit several of Vihiga's rural villages, including Kakamega, Khatikala, Maragoli, and Mbale. On this expedition, participants will be able to perform service such as:
Expeditions include educational, environmental and cultural excursions during the evenings and weekends. This may include trips to the Lake Victoria, Impala Sanctuary, Harambee Open Market, Mbale Open Market, the Kakamega Forest Hotel, the Equator line, Nairobi Game Park, and Musungutii Village ancestral caves. It may also include cultural dance performances,African storytelling, and learning how to make African traditional baskets, huts and souvenirs from banana fibers.
